Your Second Visit

On your report visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you.
Report of Findings

During this visit the doctor will discuss the findings from your first visit.  We will review your initial complaints and specifically address your health concerns and the options available to you.  If x-rays were taken on your first visit, we will show these to you and discuss any significant findings.  The purpose of this report is not to tell you what to do, but rather to educate you about your spinal health and assist you in making an informed decision about your health care needs.

You, and any support person you bring, will be given the opportunity to ask questions about your case.  The doctor will discuss what you can expect as you receive care in our Lee's Summit office, along with the doctor’s expectations from you.  Any financial issues will be handled at this time as well.

Treatment

If both you and the doctor decide that chiropractic care is appropriate, spinal adjustments will begin immediately.  Most of our patients begin to see results from the very first spinal adjustment. Our special gentle, yet effective, alignment of the body is interactive with the patient; gentle enough for kids (they love us), yet able to restore function and movement for the athlete and senior.

Adjunctive Procedures

The doctor may suggest the application of ice, heat, or the use of some other procedure to help reduce inflammation and make you more comfortable.  If you need physical therapy procedures or rehab we have that available in our Lee's Summit office.

Dr. Arthur Asks some important questions of interest to Lees Summit residents - Chiropractor Lees Summit Dr. Arthur Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
